how disgusting!

shoot, if i had known ty was going to take my pic, i would have put on some lipstick or mascara! 

last night i made shrimp tacos for me... chicken tacos for the family. as i was washing my shrimp i saw way too much shrimp poop... so disgusting. i get my shrimp from Trader Joes, but i don't think i will be any longer. i mean, LOOK at how much poop there is!

i took all the tainted shrimp out and only cooked the good stuff in some coconut oil and cayenne pepper... yummm... it turned out pretty tasty!

yes, i pigged out. it was just too good!

since i'm done with all my orders for the year, i have been busy making Christmas presents for my loved ones, so i can't really post pics of what i've been up to in the crafting/creating department.

that's why it's a post on food today ;-)

however, i did crochet last night for the first time in a couple of years. i used to make a lot of blankets and scarves but got bored with it. last night i decided to break out the yarn and the hooks and try something new. i made a little something something for my sister... can't tell you what it is since she reads my blog, but here is a sneak peak

it turned out all right.... she'll just have to like it!

it's friday... i love fridays as i'm sure most of you do too. tomorrow night we are going out on a friends boat to watch the harbor light parade and cruise around the harbor looking at pretty Christmas lights on the homes. hot apple cider and hot cocoa will be sharing the boat ride with us. the kids are all excited as are dan and i. should be fun!

my creative space

my creative space was shared with the girls... i finished up an order for some pin cushions and now all my free time will go to Christmas shopping, spending time with the fam and making a gazillion Christmas presents. i made my list last night of things i need to buy/make for others and boy oh boy do i have a lot to make! and it's already the tenth! i better get on it!

thanks for all the "feel betters" yesterday! i do feel a bit better... a tad under the weather still but i definitely do not feel as achey as i did yesterday! and i sent tannyn to school today... even though she was still complaining. i figured the school nurse would call me if she wasn't feeling well... so we'll see.

worn out

i'm feeling like this tired, sick looking owl i made for my niece, emme.

tannyn stayed home from school today due to a cold (which all three of us girls have). i was hesitant in letting her stay since she didn't have a fever, but her throat was red and a bit swollen, plus i was too tired and feeling like crud to fight with her... and as the hus said, it's only kindergarten. i think i should have taken her though. she and tayli are fighting and it's only 9:25am.

 i am already worn out!

even though this guy is a santa, he's not displayed with the others since he's in a sleigh with all the presents and the little elf. he's a decorative piece all on his own!

it's  a cold morning here in HB... frost on rooftops... snow on the mountains... i love it.

i've got a button now. the lovely marisa made it for me. i spent HOURS trying to do it yesterday and wasted so much time. as i said yesterday, i am so not computer savvy. i don't know how she fixed it for me and got it to work, but she did. thank you marisa!!! you are the best and i owe you one!

it's done

i colored my hair last night... just a bit darker... after two years of growing it out, i'm not sure why i decided to do it... but it's done.

tannyn and i had a date tonight... our first. she was very excited. we went and saw where the wild things are at our local $3 theater. we both wore coats and held purses and acted important. i bought her tons of candy and popcorn and even a dr. pepper... we cuddled and pigged out. half way through the movie she said she missed daddy... i thought that was pretty funny.

i love that little girl.

finishing up an order tonight so i can get it in the mail tomorrow morning.
