i love it here

ahhh...
i feel like i live out in the country
yet i can see the ocean if i walk just a block up my street
i love it here

after wasting hours driving thru laguna beach and on to newport to find an urgent care that took our insurance and medical group only to get a call from dan saying that i, in fact, could go to an urgent care right by our house
(the girls are sick)
we decided to relax and spend the day in our huge and fruitful backyard

ty was a sweetie and let me lay out and relax with a magazine for a bit
-it was 85 degrees today-
but about a half hour into it, i realized that i actually really wanted to hang with the kiddos and enjoy our fun backyard together
so i came up with the brilliant plan of making grapefruit juice
-i have never made juice before-
-i don't have a juicer-
we had a bunch laying around looking pretty in baskets that we had picked a couple of days ago
so i cut them up into small triangles to fit into our little handheld juicer

it took forever but we got it done
and, boy, was it refreshing
-although, i think i was the only one who really liked it-
the kids wanted more sugar but i was all about going as natural as possible
they did drink it though and we enjoyed a fun little picnic in our backyard

so far, i love this house!

how was your wednesday?

xo,
kass

the weather today was fantastic. i spent quite a bit of time outside, we tried this tasty burger joint by my parents' house, and we went and picked oranges and other fruits shortly before sunset. My dad made fresh squeezed lemonade from lemons he'd picked today. wonderful!

kass, this sounds so perfect. your new backyard looks amazing! i'm so excited for you...and also so jealous that it was 85 degrees. it's actually sunny here today, but still super cold. i wore a coat, a hat and gloves today...with sunglasses. i kinda looked like the uni-bomber actually. not awesome.
