fancy crocheter i am not

after reading dottie angel yesterday i was inspired to make a pretty little stool "sweater"

similar to this one that tif has made

now i'm no fancy crocheter... i wish i was... one of my goals for this year is to get better.

i can really just crochet in a straight line

sad but true

my stool is a rectangular shape but my "sweater" turned out like this

not too rectangular. bummer.

but i did find a nice round pillow that i think it may fit

i just have to crochet the other half, stitch them together and viola! i'll have a new pretty pillow!

i'll let you know how it turns out.

in other news...

tayli is still sick. tyler is getting better. tannyn is getting sick.

hopefully the kids will be totally healthy after some r&r this weekend
we have no plans and i'm excited about that... relaxing, doing yard work, possibly the beach if the weather cooperates and being home for the weekend sounds oh so nice!

what are your plans?

happy friday!

xo,
kass

aw, thank you! crocheting is pretty easy... at least the simple crochet... whatever it is called - stitch, maybe? anyway, a straight line is easy... it's when you try to get fancy that it's hard... unless you know how to read crochet talk - which i don't!

yay for two things you love! can't wait to read it!

check your email pretty - i wrote you back!

I like it! My crafting is very much along the lines of 'make it and then see what it looks like'!

Our plans for the weekend (house and garden Saturday, church and meal with friends Sunday) may be scuppered by the forecast snow. I do hope your family is really well again by the end of your restful weekend.

thank you! i love that "make it and then see what it looks like" whatever you make can be used for SOMETHING right?

your plans sound like mine... except for the meal with friends sunday... enjoy!

and thank you about the kiddos - i hope they are better too!

I'd say you're a crochet master compared to my sad, single color attempts. Whether it fits your stool or not, it's super cute, and I love the color combo! Sorry to hear the kiddos are sick, hope they're all well and healthy soon!

thank you... i wish i could do more though... i do know how to do circles but i don't know how to keep them flat... ugh.
i love the color combo too - thank you!

the stool sweater is a super cutie! Me and Brandi can't even nail a granny square.

This weekend my buddy from the sixth grade is down from NY and I'm going to see his band play...then make a flier for Brandi's feather hair accessories.
