my friend, anne, ordered some pin cushions to give as gifts for christmas
this is how they turned out
each one is made with old fabric that my mom had in her collection and gave to me, vintage lace and old buttons from the 80's and 90's
when i visited my gran's house over christmas she gave me some beautiful fabric from one of her old dresses. i've made a couple things from it... a sunglass case (that i forgot to take a picture of... bummer) for my sister in law, kiana and this phone case for my sister, keely. i haven't given it to her yet... i'm totally lagging (sorry keel!) i really hope she likes it.
the buttons are vintage from an antique store
(my gran gave me a jar full for christmas)
the lace was already sewn unto the fabric, so i kept it in tact... pretty pretty
i love this fabric so much and will be making myself a sunglass case with it in the near future
i'm about to do my second hour of working out, watch The Perfect Getaway with the hus (hopefully) and then hit the hay...

The pin cushions and keel's case turned out great, kass. You're doing a fine job. Looked at the sewing machine yet? ("Old" buttons from the 80s and 90s? Too funny for someone my age :). mmg

haha... i wrote that just for you mom! no, not yet! but i can't wait to! i've been busy trying to get back into my routine and i haven't made anything since christmas... worked out for two hours today though! woot woot.
